Julie Latzer established Julie’s Windowbox & Container Gardens in 2016 after more than 20 years gardening experience. Her specialty is creating living indoor arrangements and artisan faux flower arrangements in one-of-a kind containers, outdoor all-season planters, and small landscaping projects.
Julie’s love of the outdoors was fostered by all the time she spent in the mountains and valleys of rural Vermont where every season has its special beauty. Today what she saw and learned growing up inspires her passionate devotion to bringing the pleasure of the natural world to the lives and homes of her clients.
She has supplemented her experience with course work at Rutgers University and the New York Botanical Garden. Prior to opening her business, Julie held senior marketing and sales positions in educational publishing in New York, all the while engaging in her passion for interior design and gardening.
Living Indoor Arrangements and Artisan Faux Flowers
Julie is noted for pairing one-of-a kind modern, antique and vintage containers, selected for their color, design, and size to go with beautiful living plants and/or faux flowers. Her arrangements enhance a holiday table, entrance, mantel, dining, living or bedroom table. Her containers are so beautiful, they stand on their own. For carefree indoor flowers, she selects exquisite artisan faux flowers, both domestic and imported.
Living Outdoor Arrangements
Julie designs seasonal outdoor planters that enhance the appearance of your home. In evaluating which arrangement is right for you, she considers your home’s architectural style, dimensions, and color. For winter, Julie uses western greens, berries, pinecones and lights. Her holiday planters add a festive element to any entrance.
Landscaping Projects
Julie chooses and combines perennials and shrubs that are suited to your home and landscape. Her extensive knowledge of perennials and shrubs help to create a customized landscape for your property. Julie divides and transplants your existing perennials and reuses them to minimize cost. She consults on proper maintenance and care, and is committed to your garden’s success for the long-term. Julie has designed gardens in Rye and Easthampton, NY, Summit, NJ and Clarendon, Vermont.
Julie’s arrangements are priced far below those at Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman and other fine specialty stores.
